This small boutique hotel is renowned for its beautiful crescent shaped
beach, serene and secluded location, easiest access to the islands premier
dive locations, and spectacular snorkeling and diving on its beach and
house reef.
Sunset Waters Beach Resort features 70 air-conditioned guest rooms, most
offering panoramic ocean views and private terraces. A myriad of activities
are available to guests including use of the water sports fleet, swimming
pool complete with a swim-up bar, snorkeling, diving, golf, tennis, hiking,
exploration of national parks, casino and a colorful city for exploration.
An open-air restaurant has magnificent ocean views, one of which offers
a full breakfast buffet and cooked-to-order or special theme buffets for
lunch and dinner. The menu changes with every meal.
The beach front grill offers lighter fare and cocktails during the hours
of 11am - 5pm (open in season). There are three bars on property, including
a swim-up pool bar.
Guest services include babysitting, car rental, tour desk, laundry, gift
shop, free scheduled shuttle to town, and a dive center.

Sunset Waters is nestled on a protected stretch of Curaçao's Northwestern
coastline on a magnificent stretch of pristine white sand beach, known
as the "gold coast" of Curaçao.
The Resort is 15 miles from the airport, 25 miles from downtown, and only
minutes from Christofell Park, a protected wildlife preserve and garden
covering 4,500 acres of land and featuring great hiking, mountain biking,
car tours and nature walks.
Beach
Our resort has the finest beach and ocean view location on Curacao. There
is a beach volley-ball court, restrooms with showers, and a kiosk where
lounge chairs, floats, snorkel gear and other sports equipment are available.
"Tiki" palm-leaf parasols provide welcome shade.
Drinks are served on the beach from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
A small, private section is reserved for "Au Natural" sunbathing.
Bring plenty of sunblock !!
Beach Restaurant, Bar and Activity Building
The beach features a new two-story building along the channel jetty. The
first floor has a high ceiling open-air bar and restaurant with its own
kitchen. The bar has a "sports bar" theme and includes a pool
table, darts, and occasionally live music. The second floor is a dramatic
open-air area with a cathedral ceiling. The beach restaurant and bar,
similar to all of the resort dining facilities and keys on the Main Terrace
Level, as well as the second floor area, is positioned to enjoy spectacular
sunset, coastline and bay views. The beach restaurant also enjoys spectacular
views of the island's foothills to the west, including Christoffel Mountain's
peak
Dinner is from 6:30pm – 9:30pm daily, but plates will be prepared
for late arrivals.
Pool
Sunset Waters has a fresh water pool with a tiki bar (including half its
seats in the pool), children's pool and whirlpool. The pool area itself
has a large sunbathing area, as well as shower, changing rooms and rest
rooms.
Casino
For those who like gaming, Sunset Waters offers a casino complete with
both tables and slot machines. Sunset Waters Casino includes four tables
featuring black jack, roulette and Caribbean poker. We offer 80 slot machines
including 40 Various Aristocrat machines.
Golf
There is a handsome 18 hole golf course on the island just 25 minutes
away. Sunset Waters can make arrangements for tee times.
Miniature Golf
An eighteen-hole miniature golf course is located near the resort office
and receives a lot of play from family groups and young adults. Practice
up for Friday's mini-golf tournament.
Court Sports
The beach has a tennis court with a high quality playing surface and new
professional quality lights. There is also a children's play area with
swings and a sand volleyball court. Basketball hoops and soccer nets are
also available at the tennis court.
Water Sports
On the large, secluded beach you will find a fleet of kayaks, floats,
pedal boats, and snorkel equipment, which are available for your use.
The resort's large swimming pool features a swim-up pool bar, and is home
to many activities and games throughout the day. The calm waters of the
coast at Sunset Waters and in particular the calm waters of Santa Martha
Bay are ideal for kayaking. Snorkel equipment is free to use.
Eco-Tourism
Christoffel National Park and Natural Area are a short drive from Sunset
Waters Beach Resort. The park offers hiking, including a 1-hour hike (with
some scrambling) to the top of Mt. Christoffel, at 1,295 ft the highest
point on the island, scenic drives and guided nature walks. Mountain biking
and horseback riding are also available at the park.
Numerous other eco-travel type activities are also available in and around
Sunset Waters. Hiking and nature activities available at Christoffel Park
and other close by areas are now being actively promoted by Stichting
Uniek Curaçao.
Fishing
Fishing, including tarpon and snook, is available in and around Curaçao
and its bays, including Santa Martha Bay. Deep-sea fishing is available
further offshore.
Trips/Tours/Downtown Shuttle.
Sunset Waters has a full schedule of exciting trips and tours to fascinating
attractions all around Curacao. You'll never be bored while on vacation
here. Trips to the Hato Caves, Sea Aquarium and Ostrich Farm are just
a few of the places you can visit. There is also a downtown shuttle (free)
five days a week.
